Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. The trough of low pressure over the northern part of the South China Sea is bringing thundery showers to the coastal areas of southern China. Locally, more than 5 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over many places this morning. Besides, an easterly airstream is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Weather forecast for today Mainly cloudy with occasional showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavier at times later. The maximum temperature will be about 26 degrees. Moderate to fresh easterly winds, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground at first. Becoming moderate southeasterlies later. Outlook : There will still be showers tomorrow, and showers will ease off in the following couple of days.
