The Hong Kong Observatory has launched the new version (iOS 7.13, Android 5.16, Huawei 5.16) of the “MyObservatory” on 12 September 2025, featuring a new radar imagery widget. By simply adding the radar imagery widget to the home screen page of the mobile device, the users can conveniently access the latest radar imageries, weather information and warnings, allowing the public to better grasp the rain situation. Users are welcome to download “MyObservatory” at the following links (iOS, Android, Huawei) now to experience the new widget features.

Besides, the “Dr. Tin” chatbot service has also been enhanced by adding new features to assist users in finding the commonly used weather imageries, including radar and satellite imageries, weather charts and photos. It also supports the responses about lunar and solar eclipses, the dates of the 24 solar terms and the information about Gregorian-lunar calendar conversion. User can interact with “Dr. Tin” through the Observatory’s homepage or “MyObservatory” app to acquire a wide range of weather and astronomical information.
