“2021-2025 Top 10 Mind-boggling Weather and Climate Events Selection” Poll Results

The “2021-2025 Top 10 Mind-boggling Weather and Climate Events Selection” organised by the Hong Kong Observatory in collaboration with the Hong Kong Meteorological Society in early 2026 has successfully concluded, attracting near 2,000 votes. Participants were invited to choose the five weather and climate events that they considered to be the most significant or impactful, or the most representative of a climate crisis, from each of the “Hong Kong” and “Worldwide” categories. Among the participants, five correctly predicted all ten events that received the highest number of votes in both categories.
