New Colour-enhanced Satellite Images

Coloured enhanced full-disc satellite images captured by the satellite GOES-9 were added to the AMIDS in early 2005 in response to airlines' request. Different cloud heights are shown by different colours on these images. The images provide an indication of the relative cloud heights over eastern and southern Asia, Australia and the neighbouring areas.
