Visiting the Airport Meteorological Office in Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Hong Kong Aviation Weather Services
A visit to the Airport Meteorological Office (AMO) was held on 1 December 2007 as one of a series of programs to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Hong Kong Aviation Weather Services. Located at the Air Traffic Control Tower within the restricted region of the Hong Kong International Airport, the visit was well received and more than seventy Observatory staff and their family members joined the activity. Family members were most excited as this was the first time they could touch and feel the world class systems built by their relatives. The visit concluded in the early afternoon followed by an ecology trip to Tai O and Ngong Ping. |
