    Unusually warm 2021 breaks several high temperature records

    2021 was Hong Kong’s warmest year on record, with an annual mean temperature of 24.6°C, 1.1°C above the normal. The annual mean maximum temperature of 27.5°C and annual mean minimum temperature of 22.6°C were also the highest on record. There were 54 Very Hot Days and 61 Hot Nights in Hong Kong in 2021, both ranking the highest on record. In addition, several high temperature records were broken throughout the year.
