Briefing on HKO Aviation Weather Services

A briefing for airlines and pilots on HKO's aviation weather services was conducted at the Dragonair House at Chek Lap Kok on 14 March 2012. It was well received with nearly 60 representatives from the local aviation community. The participants were briefed on a number of topics, including the latest developments of windshear and turbulence alerting service, the forecast products on significant convection and tropical cyclones for the airport, and new features of the Aviation Meteorological Information Dissemination System (AMIDS) dedicated for aviation users. The briefing provided a valuable opportunity for experience sharing on aviation weather.
