Come Visit Us

The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) will be opened to the public on 25 and 26 March 2017. This year's theme for the Open Day is "Understanding clouds". You are cordially invited to visit us and see how we have applied science and technology to serve the public.

All members of the public are welcome. No tickets are required but entry will be regulated if necessary.

Notes: As large crowds are expected, special arrangements regarding one-way routing are made for the public.  Please note that the entrance is at Nathan Road while the exit is at the Observatory Road. According to past experience, the Observatory will be quite crowded in the afternoon, public are encouraged to come to visit us in the morning as far as possible.

Entry time on 25 March 2017 (Saturday): 12:00 noon to 4:30 p.m.
Exhibition venues will close at 5:15 p.m.
Entry time on 26 March 2017 (Sunday): 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Exhibition venues will close at 5:15 p.m.

Note: The Open Day will be suspended if Red or Black Rainstorm Warning is in force. Open Day will continue if Amber rainstorm warning is in force. Director's autographing session will depend on the weather at the time.
