The Hong Kong Observatory publication "Tide Tables for Hong Kong 2012" is now on sale.
The tide tables list the predicted heights and times of daily high and low waters at 14 locations in Hong Kong, which are Chi Ma Wan, Ko Lau Wan, Kwai Chung, Lok On Pai, Quarry Bay, Shek Pik, Tai Miu Wan, Tai O, Tai Po Kau, Tsim Bei Tsui, Waglan Island and newly added locations at Chek Lap Kok, Cheung Chau and Ma Wan. Phases of the moon are also given.
The bilingual publication is a useful reference for engineers, shipping companies, wharf and container terminal operators, yachtsmen, fishing and water sports enthusiasts.
At $18 a copy, "Tide Tables for Hong Kong 2012" is available at the Hong Kong Observatory Resource Centre, the Publications Sales Unit of the Information Services Department, the Kowloon Map Publications Centre of the Lands Department, the Marine Department Headquarters, General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Tuen Mun Central Post Office and Sha Tin Central Post Office.
