The Observatory has further enhanced the PDA webpage with more satellite imagery, including images from the Chinese Fengyun-2D satellite and the Japanese MTSAT-2 satellite today (2 July). The webpages on animation of satellite and radar imagery have also been updated to facilitate browsing on different PDA or mobile phone devices. This enables members of the public to gain access to the latest weather information via their mobile devices anywhere and anytime. This also facilitates peoples engaging in outdoor work or activities to make suitable arrangements under different weather situations.
