20 November 2012
Starting today (20 November), the Hong Kong Observatorywill release more images received from polar orbiting satellites on its website (http://www.hko.gov.hk/wxinfo/intersat/polar/sat.htm). The new additions are infra-red cloud images captured by NOAA-18 and NOAA-19 satellites operated by the U.S. Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and Metop-A satellite operated by European EUMETSAT. These high resolution images can be utilized to monitor the weather as well as the global climate. |
