The Observatory launches coloured weather charts

The Hong Kong Observatory launched coloured weather charts today (3 January 2012) to replace the previous monochromatic weather charts. In the new weather charts, weather systems such as cold front, warm front, trough of low pressure, etc. are highlighted in colours. This helps showing the location of weather systems in a more prominent manner.

Members of the public are welcome to visit the Weather Chart webpage on the Observatory's website (http://www.hko.gov.hk/wxinfo/currwx/wxcht.htm) for the coloured weather charts.
