New Update of MyObservatory for Android Providing Automatic Regional Weather Forecast

The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) launched a new version (4.6) of "MyObservatory" on Android platform today (4 March 2016), featuring "Automatic Regional Weather Forecast" service that provides location-based weather forecast in Hong Kong up to 9 days.

Through the new service, not only 9-day forecast is provided for different regions, more detailed forecast at 3-hourly intervals is also available at user’s finger tips. Apart from 3-hourly forecasts of weather icons, temperature, relative humidity and wind speed, daily chance of rainfall at various locations in Hong Kong are also provided.

To facilitate quick checking of weather at multiple places (e.g. home, office, kid’s school, etc.), a new feature is introduced in this version to allow presetting a number of locations of user’s choice. The new "Automatic Regional Weather Forecast" service and a renewed user interface make it easier to obtain weather information on "MyObservatory".

The "MyObservatory" is a free app. Users are welcome to download it in Play Store.
