Launching the Weather Website for Greater Bay Area

In line with the development of the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, the Hong Kong Observatory, in collaboration with the Guangdong Meteorological Service and the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau, launches the weather website for Greater Bay Area today (23 April).

Meteorological services in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao launched the weather website for Greater Pearl River Delta in 2010. The website is updated and enhanced into the weather website for Greater Bay Area, providing weather information service to more than 60 regions in 11 cities within the area including the two Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao, and the nine municipalities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing. The weather forecast is also extended to 7 days with a view to providing convenient and reliable quality weather services for citizens commuting within the area.
