The Observatory releases round the clock real-time weather photos

The Hong Kong Observatory has further enhanced its regional weather information service by providing real-time weather photos round the clock on its website starting from today (June 23).

The Observatory presently provides real-time weather photos at 23 observing sites in Hong Kong. To enable the public to observe night-time weather conditions such as night view of the Victoria Harbour (Figure 1) or occurrence of sea fog in the early morning (Figure 2), the Observatory extends the provision of real-time weather photos on its website from 5 am to 9 pm each day to 24 hours round the clock. The photos will be updated at every 5 minutes as usual, while the duration of photo animation will expand from 3 hours to 6 hours.

Members of the public can access the weather photos through the Observatory's regional webpage (www.hko.gov.hk/wxinfo/ts/index_webcam_e.htm), mobile platform webpage (www.hko.gov.hk/m/wxphoto.htm) and the "MyObservatory" app.
