9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: Tropical Cyclone Toraji will move across the northern part of the South China Sea today, edging closer to the western coast of Guangdong and the seas east of Hainan Island. It will then weaken gradually but the rate of weakening remains uncertain. Under the combined effect of Toraji and the northeast monsoon, it will be windy with squally showers over the coast of Guangdong today and tomorrow. A strong northeast monsoon is expected to affect southern China early to midweek next week. Tropical Cyclone Usagi over the seas east of the Philippines will intensify gradually and move in the general direction of the vicinity of Luzon Strait today and tomorrow. Its subsequent movement is uncertain with a higher chance of moving towards the seas east of Taiwan.
