Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. An anticyclone aloft is bringing generally fine weather to southern China. At 8 p.m., the tropical depression over the seas east of the Philippines was centred about 930 kilometres east of Manila. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour towards the vicinity of Luzon and intensify gradually. Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow Cloudy periods tonight. Mainly fine tomorrow. The minimum temperature will be around 28 degrees in the morning. Very hot during the day with a maximum temperature of about 33 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Moderate east to southeasterly winds. Outlook : Mainly fine and very hot on Friday. Windy with showers increasing gradually later on Saturday to Sunday. Seas will be rough with swells. The weather will improve progressively on the Mid-Autumn Festival and the day after.
