Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. Upper-air disturbances are bringing showers to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Locally, showers this morning brought more than 10 millimetres of rainfall to the eastern part of the New Territories, the eastern part of Hong Kong Island and Lantau Island. Besides, pressure is rising over central China, a replenishment of the northeast monsoon is expected to reach the coast of Guangdong tonight. Weather forecast for today Sunny periods and a few showers. Hot during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 31 degrees. More showers in some areas with thunderstorms later. Moderate easterly winds, becoming northerlies at night, occasionally fresh. Outlook : Slightly cooler mornings in the next couple of days. The minimum temperature will fall to around 24 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. Becoming fine and dry midweek this week.
