Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

A broad trough of low pressure is bringing showers and
thunderstorms to the northern part of the South China Sea
and the coast of Guangdong.

At 2 a.m., Tropical Storm Narra was centred about 240
kilometres west-northwest of Haikou. It is forecast to be
slow-moving, lingering over the vicinity of Beibu Wan.
Meanwhile, Tropical Depression Gaenari was centred about 170
kilometres west-southwest of Taibei. It is forecast to move
west slowly across the vicinity of Taiwan Strait and
dissipate gradually.

On the other hand, Super Typhoon Saudel was centred about
380 kilometres west-southwest of Iwo Jima. It is forecast to
move west-northwest at about 28 kilometres per hour across
the western North Pacific. The Tropical Depression near Yap
was centred about 530 kilometres north-northwest of Yap. It
is forecast to move north-northeast at about 18 kilometres
per hour across the western North Pacific.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly cloudy with a few showers and squally thunderstorms.
Showers will increase gradually. Temperatures will range
between 27 and 31 degrees. Moderate south to southwesterly
winds, occasionally fresh.

Outlook : There will be showers and squally thunderstorms in
the following couple of days. It will be windier in some
areas. Becoming very hot in the latter part of this week.
