South China Coastal Waters

Weather Situation:
A southerly airstream is affecting the coastal waters of
Guangdong.

At 5 a.m., Tropical Depression Hagupit with maximum
sustained winds of about 45 kilometres per hour near its
centre was located at 13.7 degrees north, 129.0 degrees
east. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the
seas east of the Philippines.

Area forecasts for the next 24 hours

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
South to southwest force 4, up to force 5 later.
A few showers.
Moderate seas.

Nan'ao and Shanwei:
Southwest force 3 to 4.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Slight to moderate seas.

South of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao:
South to southwest force 4, occasionally force 5.
Moderate seas.

Outlook for the following 48 hours 
South to southwesterly winds of force 4 to 5, becoming
easterly winds of up to force 7 later. Scattered heavy
showers and squally thunderstorms.
