Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. A southerly airstream is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Meanwhile, an anticyclone aloft is bringing generally fine weather to the region and the northern part of the South China Sea. At 8 a.m., Tropical Depression Hagupit was centred about 870 kilometres east of Manila. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the seas east of the Philippines. Weather forecast for today Sunny periods. Hot during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 32 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Isolated showers later. Light to moderate south to southwesterly winds. Outlook : Showers and squally thunderstorms tomorrow and on Friday. Showers will be heavy at times. Weather will remain unsettled and windy during the weekend.
