Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

An anticyclone aloft is bringing generally fine and
extremely hot weather to southern China. Locally,
temperatures over many places rose to about 33 degrees
around noon. Besides, an area of low pressure is bringing
unsettled weather to the vicinity of Luzon.

At noon, Tropical Storm Peipah was centred about 170
kilometres east of Osaka. It is forecast to move east at
about 45 kilometres per hour across the vicinity of the
southern part of Honshu of Japan.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Mainly fine. Extremely hot in the afternoon with a maximum
temperature of around 35 degrees in the urban areas, and a
couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Isolated
showers. Light winds.

Outlook : Extremely hot tomorrow. Winds will strengthen
gradually and the weather will become unsettled later on
Sunday. Windy with heavy squally showers and thunderstorms
on Monday. Seas will be rough with swells.
