Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad trough of low pressure are affecting the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Locally, around 20 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over many places in the past couple of hours. Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight Mainly cloudy with occasional showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavier in some areas at first. Moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds, occasionally strong on high ground. Outlook : Showers will be heavy at times tomorrow. The weather will remain unsettled with occasional showers during the weekend to early next week.
