Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. A dry northeast monsoon brought generally fine weather to southern China today. Locally, it was mainly fine and dry. Temperatures in the urban areas fell to around 13 degrees in the morning, and a few degrees lower in the New Territories. The relative humidity over most parts of the territory stayed below 60 per cent in the afternoon. The monsoon is expected to moderate slightly in the next couple of days, but the weather will still be cool in the morning over the coast of Guangdong. Daytime temperatures will rise slightly. Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Monday, 30 Dec 2024) Rather cool with cloudy periods in the morning. The minimum temperature will be about 14 degrees in the urban areas, and a few degrees lower in the New Territories. Mainly fine and dry during the day with a maximum temperature of around 20 degrees. Moderate east to northeasterly winds, light winds later. Outlook : Remaining cool in the morning on New Year’s Eve. Warm during the day. Becoming cloudier gradually at night. Mainly cloudy with sunny intervals on New Year's Day and Thursday. Becoming fine and dry and cool in the morning and at night in the following couple of days. .
