Local Weather Forecast

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

Winds are weak and the weather is mainly fine over the coast
of Guangdong. The area of low pressure near Hainan Island is
bringing unsettled weather to the region.

At 8 p.m., Tropical Storm Kujira was centred about 370
kilometres north-northwest of Manila. It is forecast to move
east slowly towards Luzon.

Meanwhile, Severe Typhoon Dolphin was centred about 860
kilometres east of Okinawa. It is forecast to move west at
about 22 kilometres per hour across the seas south of Japan.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Mainly fine. The minimum temperature will be about 28
degrees tomorrow morning. Very hot during the day with a
maximum temperature of around 33 degrees in the urban areas,
and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Light
winds.

Outlook : Mainly fine and persistently very hot in the
following few days. Extremely hot in some areas on Friday
and over the weekend, apart from isolated showers.
