South China Coastal Waters

Weather Situation:
A southwesterly airstream is affecting the south China
coastal waters.

At noon, Tropical Depression Co-May with maximum sustained
winds of about 45 kilometres per hour near its centre was
located at 26.2 degrees north, 126.2 degrees east. It is
forecast to move north-northeast at about 22 kilometres per
hour across the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands.

Area forecasts for the next 24 hours

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
West to southwest force 4, occasionally force 5.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Moderate seas.

Nan'ao and Shanwei:
West to southwest force 4 to 5.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Moderate seas.

South of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao:
West to southwest force 4, occasionally force 5.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Moderate seas.

Outlook for the following 48 hours 
West to southwesterly winds of force 4 to 5, occasionally
force 6. Scattered showers and squally thunderstorms.
