Under the intermediate (SSP2-4.5) and very high (SSP5-8.5) greenhouse gas emissions scenarios, the annual maximum temperature in Hong Kong in 2081-2100 is projected to increase by about 1.9℃ and 4.1℃ respectively, compared to the average of 1995-2014 (34.4℃, at the reference station Hong Kong Observatory).
