Under the intermediate (SSP2-4.5) and very high (SSP5-8.5) greenhouse gas emissions scenarios, the annual rainfall in Hong Kong in 2081-2100 is projected to increase by about 7.0% and 9.0% respectively, compared to the average of 1995-2014 (2456mm, at the reference station Hong Kong Observatory).
