    Under the intermediate (SSP2-4.5) and very high (SSP5-8.5) greenhouse gas emissions scenarios, the annual number of extreme rainfall days* (daily rainfall ≥ 100 mm) is expected to increase throughout this century. Average annual number of extreme rainfall days in Hong Kong during 1995-2014 is 4.3.
