“Gamma-Go” Teacher Workshops

During February and March 2023, in partnership with the Education Bureau, the Observatory organised the "Gamma-Go" Teacher Workshops, which were attended by more than 30 secondary school teachers. The workshops enabled more teachers to understand how the "Gamma-Go" STEM education activities could be adopted to enhance students' basic radiation knowledge. The participants tried assembling radiation detectors and meteorological microsensors on breadboards, so they could take gamma radiation and meteorological measurements in real time, and then upload the data to a dedicated web-based platform for analysis.
