Observatory’s New Radiological Survey Vehicle Now Operational
The Observatory’s new radiological survey vehicle became operational in December 2022. One of the highlights is the new Sodium-iodide Gamma Spectrometer on the roof of the vehicle, which can detect gamma-emitting radionuclides in the environment. (More……)
Enhanced Regional Relative Humidity Information Services
The Observatory has enhanced the “Hong Kong Regional Weather – Hong Kong Regional Relative Humidity” webpage and the “MyObservatory” app, by adding real-time relative humidity information from seven automatic weather stations, allowing the public to better understand changes in the weather. Educational Resources Web Section Enriched with More Infographics
The Observatory added more infographics on various hazardous weather phenomena to the Educational Resources web section, to enhance the public’s knowledge in this aspect. (More……)

New information and services have been added to the “MyObservatory” app, including the “Meteorological Information for Fishermen” and “Weather Information for Aviation Sports” pages, and a “Traffic Information” layer on the “Location-based Rainfall and Lightning Forecast” page. (More……)
Launch of a New Version of MyFlightWx - An Electronic Flight Bag Mobile App
