Very Hot Weather Warning Service Enhanced with Additional “Extremely Hot” Special Weather Tips

Law Hiu-fai

The Observatory recently enhanced the Very Hot Weather Warning service, by launching new Special Weather Tips in response to extreme heat conditions and updating the recommended precautions accompanying warnings. When the Very Hot Weather Warning is in force, and if the temperature generally reaches the extreme level (35.0 ℃ or above), the Observatory will issue Special Weather Tips and disseminate through push notifications of the “MyObservatory” mobile app, to alert the public regarding the extremely hot weather and the need for appropriate precautions.
