    “Total Sky Imager Design Competition”: Promoting knowledge of meteorological measurements through cloud appreciation

    The “Total Sky Imager Design Competition” organised by Hong Kong Observatory, the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Meteorological Society was successfully concluded.     Meteorological and radiological measurements on a fishing vessel

    The Observatory is conducting a trial in cooperation with a fishermen’s organisation. A set of equipment comprising anemometer and radiation sensor was installed on a fishing vessel, to transmit data back to the Observatory’s Headquarters in real-time using the latest satellite communication technology.
