The Observatory participated in the “Hong Kong Island Disaster and Emergency Preparedness Day 2024” organised by the Fire Services Department on 25 February. The event aimed to enhance the public’s awareness of disaster prevention and emergency preparedness capabilities. For the event, the Observatory not only set up exhibitions and a game booth, but also showcased a radiological survey vehicle to promote knowledge of radiation and nuclear emergency responses to the public. The exhibition booth and radiological survey vehicle attracted over 3,000 visitors.
