Kok Mang-hin

Mr Bambang Wiyayanto, Head of the Aviation Meteorology Operational Management of the Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) of the Republic of Indonesia, led a three-member delegation to visit the Hong Kong Observatory on 21 and 22 February. During the visit, both parties showcased their latest developments in aviation weather services, particularly regarding windshear and turbulence warning services. They also explored opportunities for further collaboration on aviation weather services. Through this visit, the delegation gained a deeper understanding of the Observatory’s aviation weather services, which would facilitate further technical exchanges between the two sides in future.
