Revamped Lightning Location Information Service Webpage

The Observatory has revamped the Lightning Location Information Service webpage. The newly designed layout allows the public to more conveniently access real-time lightning location information and lightning count distribution over Hong Kong; and the lightning count information is updated more frequently, every 15 minutes. As intense gusts may occur with thunderstorms, the maximum gusts in various regions of Hong Kong are also made available on the lightning location map, for reference. Furthermore, the revamped webpage provides more links and useful information related to thunderstorms.
