Senior Management Seminar on Aviation Meteorology held in Beijing

On 13 December 2023, Dr Chan Pak-wai, Director of the Hong Kong Observatory, attended the Senior Management Seminar on Aviation Meteorology, a joint event organised by the Air Traffic Management Bureau (ATMB) of the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the Hong Kong Observatory, held in Beijing. The meeting reviewed the cooperation between the two sides in business operations, scientific research, and international exchanges over recent years – including cooperative efforts in international aviation meteorology, sharing meteorological data, and specialized research projects in aviation meteorology. A consensus was reached on the plans for collaborative work in the next two years.
