AMO takes part in the Search and Rescue Exercise 2015

HKO News Bulletin for the Aviation Community (34th Issue)

Aviation forecasters of the Airport Meteorological Office (AMO) participated in the 2015 long range Search and Rescue Exercise (SAREX) organised by CAD from 14 to 15 December. Weather observation and forecast near the search area were provided. Before the actual exercise, Mr. Paul Ho, Chief Experimental Officer of HKO, provided a special weather briefing for GFS, PLA(HK) and CAD staff at the Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) on 15 December.
