New weather courses for the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy

The opening of the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy (HKIAA) (https://www.hkinternationalaviationacademy.com) of the Airport Authority Hong Kong provides a good channel for the promotion and education of aeronautical meteorology. Starting summer 2018, a new regular course titled "Basic Meteorology for Airport Operations" has been added to the academy's programme list. This 2-hour workshop aims to get personnel having to handle flight operations under adverse weather better equipped with aviation-related general weather knowledge and to foster participants' understanding on potential weather impacts to flight operations at the Hong Kong International Airport. Other education series will be added soon, so stay tuned.
