The latest data published by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) shows that there is a 98% chance that at least one of the next five years (2023-2027) will become the warmest on record, and there is also a 66% chance that global warming will exceed 1.5°C in at least one of these years. Although this does not mean that the 1.5°C target of the Paris Agreement will be permanently surpassed, the frequency of briefly breaking this level will become increasingly high.
In order to mitigate climate change, all the world must work together to significantly reduce carbon emissions.
