Hong Kong Observatory signs Letter of Intent on Cooperation with China Institute for Radiation Protection

The Hong Kong Observatory and the China Institute for Radiation Protection (CIRP) signed a Letter of Intent on Cooperation in Hong Kong on 26 September 2017 to enhance technical collaboration and exchange between the two organizations.

CIRP, renowned for its outstanding achievements, is an integrated scientific research institution in the Mainland specialized in radiation protection research and application. Since the 1990s, the Observatory has cooperation and exchange activities with CIRP in a number of aspects including radiation training, inter-comparisons and radiation protection. In order to foster closer cooperation, the two organizations will collaborate in various areas related to radiation monitoring and assessment with the aim of further enhancing the technical development and services of both parties.
