Launching Windows Phone Version of "MyObservatory" Today

The Hong Kong Observatory launched the Windows Phone version of the "MyObservatory" mobile app today (27 Jan 2014). Apart from iOS and Android platforms, members of the public using Windows Phone platform can also get access to mobile weather services provided by "MyObservatory". The Windows Phone version of "MyObservatory" comes with a brand new user interface. In addition to providing most of the weather services on the iOS and Android platforms, the following new services are also introduced:

• Display a clock on the main page, which is automatically synchronized with the Observatory's time server;
• Provide setting for location. In addition to automatic location service, users can select "My Location" of their own choice;
• Provide more user-customized options such as font size, different theme color for day and night, etc.
