Enhancement of Services Related to Tropical Cyclones

Tse Kwan-shu

The Hong Kong Observatory enhanced its services related to tropical cyclones in late June this year. If strong winds, heavy rain and potential storm surge accompanying a tropical cyclone are expected to pose risks for Hong Kong, the Observatory will make announcements on their significant combined effect to the public through tropical cyclone warning bulletins and media briefings. This is to ensure that members of the public can take early measures to safeguard themselves and their families.
