Example of mean sea-level pressure forecasts (indicated by white isobars): Two tropical cyclones affecting central South China Sea and Taiwan. The computer forecast also shows the positions of the centres of the low-pressure systems.

In March 2021, the Observatory enhanced the “Earth Weather” webpage to provide 3-hourly or 6-hourly forecasts of temperature, humidity, wind direction, wind speed and weather icons for the next nine days for 100 major cities and tourist attractions in the Asia-Pacific region. Furthermore, forecasts of mean sea-level pressure have been added to the webpage, to facilitate users to assess the forecast changes of the weather in the next 9 days.
