Olivia Lee Shuk-ming
The Observatory’s new radiological survey vehicle became operational in December 2022. With a new Sodium-iodide Gamma Spectrometer on the roof of the vehicle, it can detect gamma-emitting radionuclides in the environment. The new survey vehicle is also equipped with meteorological instruments to measure meteorological data such as temperature, humidity, wind speed and wind direction. The real-time ambient radiation and meteorological data detected by the survey vehicle can support of the Observatory’s emergency response work.
