Hong Kong Observatory Delegation Visited the Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics of the Republic of Indonesia

The Assistant Director of the Hong Kong Observatory, Lee Lap-shun, and the Acting Senior Scientific Officer of the Hong Kong Observatory, Choy Chun-wing, visited the Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics of the Republic of Indonesia (BMKG) on 25 July 2023. Both parties established a memorandum of understanding on strengthening meteorological cooperation between Hong Kong and Indonesia, including exchanges of weather data, meteorological research, and mutual visits and training. The cooperation will enhance the weather forecasting technologies and disaster preparedness of both parties, as well as the safety and efficiency of international civil air navigation.
