Ng Yin-lam

At the invitation of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation of Cambodia, Mr Chan Ho-sun, Senior Experimental Officer of the Hong Kong Observatory, conducted training for the country’s aeronautical meteorological forecasters during 10 to 12 October 2023. Mr Chan shared his experiences and insights on aerodrome warnings, aerodrome terminal forecasts, trend forecasts and Significant Weather Information coordination with around 20 participants. The participants revealed that they greatly benefited from the training. The Observatory is delighted to provide training workshops for Belt and Road countries, and looks forward to continuing to contribute towards enhancing aviation weather services in the Asia and Pacific Region.
