Public Course on Weather Observation resumed with Enthusiastic Response

The Public Course on Weather Observation by the Observatory resumed in October and November 2023, receiving a very enthusiastic response from the public. There were almost 2,000 applications for the course. During the lessons, participants gained an understanding of the basic weather observation techniques and methods, weather phenomena and hazards, interpretation of weather charts and weather proverbs, and applications of weather observations in weather forecasting. They could even have practical experience in taking weather observations and coding weather reports. The participants considered the course could deepen their weather knowledge.
