Observatory Collaborated with Ho Koon Nature Education Centre to Organise Weather Quiz Competition

Since 2014, the Observatory has collaborated with Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre to organise weather related competitions. In recent years, the competitions had to be held online due to the pandemic. The onsite competitions could resume this year.

The event was held on 6 July 2023, with 200 students from 50 secondary schools participating. It featured a series of talks given by a Senior Scientific Officer of the Observatory on local weather in the four seasons. The quizzes were held in between the talks. The students performed very well and were indeed praiseworthy.
